DENVER — Police in Denver arrested two suspects after a shooting left one man dead outside of a Denny’s restaurant early Saturday morning.
Denver police said that a fight broke out inside the restaurant, located at 900 West Alameda St. Shots were then fired outside the restaurant, but the victim appeared to have been struck when an errant shot went into the building, police said.
The victim was identified Sunday as Christopher Haney, 36. Haney was a bartender at the Gothic Theater and a regular around the local music scene. He had been at a concert with friends earlier in the evening and seems to have simply stopped at the restaurant to eat on his way home.
The two suspects were seen fleeing the scene shortly after the shooting. Officers later arrested 25-year-old Robert Bernal and a juvenile in connection with the incident.
