The 100 Wonders of the World and Me

Let’s not waste time with formalities, this is the retelling of my experience in Rome, the historical juggernaut that keeps on giving.

When I last left you I had just finished my first day of exploration. I had sat in the Colosseum for what felt like an eternity (and, upon reflection, still doesn’t feel like long enough), wondered the Palazzo’s and back streets, visited a few of the many wonderful churches this city has to offer and stuffed myself with more pizza and ice cream than you can shake a stick at.

I spent the evening at the hostel talking to a few other travellers. I’ll say once again that this was my first trip out of the UK and you hear all sorts of the wonder of meeting new people as you journey around so I looked forward to getting to know those who, like me, had come…
